Bike Swap

The Bike Swap is a chance for the community to sell, buy, and get excited to get out on their bikes! Our friends at Continental Ski & Bike host this fantastic event that offers the community to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle. There are always bikes of all sizes and styles here, so come check it out!

National Association of Letter Carriers Annual Food Drive

The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) conducts its annual national food drive on the second Saturday in May each year. The Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive, the country’s largest single-day food drive, provides residents with an easy way to donate food to those in need in the community.

Each year, our LIVE UNITED Luncheon is a celebration of all our community partners who made the effort to LIVE UNITED throughout the year. Whether through giving, advocating, or volunteering, we are thankful for all of our partners and look forward to celebrating with you at our annual luncheon.

Day of Caring

Head of the Lakes United Way’s Day of Caring event, held each year in June and December, matches teams of community-minded volunteers with local non-profit agencies in need of extra hands. Volunteers can make a real difference by tackling agency projects such as painting, planning activities for kids, collecting supplies, landscaping, light maintenance and many other opportunities.

Chili Cook-Off

Each September United Way invites area chili chefs – both professional and amateur – to cook up their favorite recipes and decorate their booths with a festive spirit. The community is invited to sample the chilis and vote on their favorites while having a great time at this family-friendly community event. Check back each September to learn how you can enter a chili or join the fun as an attendee!
