In partnership with the American Red Cross, donations made through the wildfire relief page will go to support relief for individuals and families impacted by wildfires in Head of the Lakes United Way’s service area.

In 2025 we gathered donations to support wildfire relief in excess of what was needed by individuals and families. Some of these funds are being distributed to Lake County fire departments to support equipment or training needed for wildfire prevention and preparedness. The remaining funds are already available to support some of the current needs, but we expect more support will be needed beyond these funds.

Head of the Lakes United Way is working with the American Red Cross to help connect residents whose primary homes were damaged by the wildfire with possible additional support. United Way will make its own decisions about who qualifies and provide any funding separately from Red Cross assistance.

Donations marked for wildfire relief received after June 30th, 2026 will be designated to programs supporting community members in Lake County.
