FOR THE FIRST TIME, HEAD OF THE LAKES UNITED WAY SETS STUDENTS UP FOR SUCCESSFUL SCHOOL YEAR WITH “STUFF THE BUS” SCHOOL

SUPPLY DRIVE IN THE LAKE SUPERIOR SCHOOL DISTRICT

Stuff the Bus is a school readiness program that provides backpacks, school supplies and other items to prepare low-income students for the first day of school and to ensure their preparedness throughout the school year.

Head of Lakes United Way is asking individuals, employee groups, and service organizations to fight for kids! Please collect new school supplies for students so that all students feel prepared for school. All of the supplies will be delivered directly to the school district and distributed by them.

Items needed include: 1” binders with pockets, plastic 2 pocket folders, pencil boxes, Sharpies, sticky notes, composition notebooks, scissors, hand sanitizer, Kleenex, backpacks, pens, pencils and more!

Please drop off items between August 1 – 25, at the following locations:

  • Castle Danger Brewing
  • The Lake Bank
  • Super One
  • Two Harbors Federal Credit Union
  • Zup’s of Silver Bay

We are grateful for these partners in helping us collect items. Thank you!
